About Me

“The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new lands, but in seeing with new eyes”.

This quote from Marcel Proust really resonates with me.  I truly believe that knowing and accepting ourselves first, and then others is key to building successful relationships.  And relationships….well, they are the foundation of everything.

I am passionate about contributing to the growth and development of others, embrace diversity and believe wholeheartedly that everyone has value.

A considerable amount of my time has been spent within the youth sector and within a faith-based community and I am passionate about both.  I love supporting students working towards a qualification (or on placement), a person’s personal and professional development, career change and new directions.

I use a range of approaches to support people within the helping profession and recognise that it very much involves working in the grey. I hold close the importance of self-care and keeping appropriate boundaries.

I keep it real and endeavour to create a space of trust where new practitioners can gain confidence and competence in their abilities and more seasoned practitioners can feel comfortable to explore and challenge their thinking. Reflective, strengths-based and solution focused approaches are woven through my practice.
